Clinics extend opening hours as rainy season begins
Twelve primary health centres will open until 9pm to cope with more malaria cases.
Twelve primary health centres will stay open until 9pm on weekdays for the next three months, as the rainy season brings more cases of malaria.
Health officials say cases usually rise by a third during the rains. Longer hours mean people can visit after work instead of waiting until the weekend.
The centres will also give out free mosquito nets to pregnant women and families with children under five.
Doctors urge anyone with a fever to get tested quickly rather than buying medicine without a test.
A full list of the centres and their opening hours is posted at each council office.
